What does *drink* mean?
I'm seeing people type "**drink**" in their answers to some questions.
Is it sort of like typing "yawn" when you think a question is boring? Or something else?
Oh, I saw this in the Religion & Spirituality section. I should probably have posted this there so the people who have done this actually see the question! LOL...

I used to be a regular in R&S, but not anymore due to all the unwarranted reporting. Anyway, an answerer will enter "drink" as an answer to a question that has been posted in R&S for the millionth time. I'm not sure who started the "drinking game," but it's been used for the following questions:
1.) If humans came from monkeys then why are there still monkeys?
2.) Why are there atheists in R&S?
3.) Are Catholics/Mormons/Jehovah's Witnesses considered Christians?

I am not sure where you have seen this so I am probably not in the same category as you have found this. Being a mom, grandma and preschool teacher I hear "drink" and immediately think of water. Children always need a drink of water. Of course when I am out socially I think of "Let's get a drink" I think of an alcoholic drink or even one that is not alcoholic. So yes I guess I agree it must mean time out to quench a person's thirst.

I assume it is a stage direction type of thing. Letting the reader know that they paused to have a drink of something.
