Try looking for a "removeable storage device" or "Mass storage device" in your "my computer"
If you fail to see it, try a different USB port, for flash drives I dont believe it has to be a 2.0 port.... If you still can't find it.... Try taking it out, restarting your computer, then plug it back in.... If it asks you what you want to do when the device is plugged in select "View in windows explorer" OR "Take no Action" then find it yourself in "MY Computer"
If all else fails... Call the manufacturer of the device.
NOTE : If your USB driver port is the problem try rolling back the driver through the Device Manager or re-installing it by downloading the driver at (Dell or whatever computer you have) 's website.
* you can get to the Device manager by going to....
Start--->Control Panel--->(Classic view if needed)----> system---> click the Hardware tab---Device Manager.
*Hope This Helps
