what does anyone think about taking differential equations and calculus III in the same semsters with Engineering physics I also??? I'm doing it to ease my load for next semester because I'll be going through a certain process that i'll be SURE to fail if I take a regular semester.....I'm an electrical engineering major

I can see taking DiffEq with a different math class other than Calc III. I would make sure you understand the concepts of calculus, including differential equations, before taking Calc III although that depends upon what Calc III covers at your University. You might want to check with your advisor or with a prof in the math dept to see if they agree your plans and to find out what Calc III covers. When I took Calc III (several years ago, okay...a lot of years ago), it was almost all proofs of the concepts of Calculus and I found Calc III difficult. DiffEq was a cakewalk by comparison.

Both are hard, but calculus III shouldn't be a prerequesite for differential equations (so you shouldn't need one for the other), so as long as you can handle the math you should be fine.

If you find math easy, sure. But is one of the math courses a prerequisite of the other? If so, that may make it a bit difficult, it means you have to read one of the textbooks before you start the course...
