quick answer is get a map of Ontario and a compass (the circle making kind) and draw a 200 mile circle and see what is in there. Off the top of my head is Niagra Falls, Toronto, maybe the 1000 islands, Ski-ing in Collingwood if there is snow.

I spent a few months living in Calgary, and the Alberta-side of the Rockies is amazing, albeit a bit cold at this time of year. Try the Okanagan valley in BC. Great food and wine, beautiful lake... not too far to drive up to the Rockies if you want to go to the glacier national park, or down to Vancouver if you desperately need city life. And the Canadians are lovely people too. Gay is OK in Canada. Even the rural areas. Hmmm.... got me thinking, I must go back there some time...

I'm assuming you're planning for January or February.

Collingwood is The place to go, it's beautiful, it's gorgeous. It's probably about an extra 100 miles, but it's definitly worth it. Even in the summer it's beautiful.
