How to install new thermostat on a hydronic heating system?

Hi,

I just bought a new house, and I want to change the old analong thermostat to a digital one. The heating system is a hydronic heating system with a big blower (similar to a gas furnace system) and an AC condenser outside.

I was looking at the different wiring scenarios in the instruction manual for my new digital thermostat and it mentions a single stage heat pump.

Is a hydronic system actually a single stage heat pump?

Would you wire a hydronic system different than a regular gas furnace system?

No, a hydronic system is not a heat pump. Look at the wire designations on your old stat and hook the new one up exactly the same. If you have already taken off the old one and not observed where the wires go, call a pro.

as quickly as I outfitted our final abode we put in warm water warmth radiant warmth in the basement and the garages. preserving them at 60 in the process the iciness in the storage saved the autos from having ice. The programmable thermostat motives greater issues than it facilitates. you will like the warmth floor, and you will possibly be able to shop the temp somewhat decrease and be mushy.
