  • How to install new thermostat on a hydronic heating system?

    Hi,

I just bought a new house, and I want to change the old analong thermostat to a digital one. The heating system is a hydronic heating system with a big blower (similar to a gas furnace system) and an AC condenser outside.

I was looking at the different wiring scenarios in the instruction manual for my new digital thermostat and it mentions a single stage heat pump.

Is a hydronic system actually a single stage heat pump?

Would you wire a hydronic system different than a regular gas furnace system?

  • Bob's Big Boy Fudge Sauce?

Does anybody know where I can get Bob's Big Boy Fudge Sauce? (besides Bob's Big Boy...)

I just saw something about Bob's Big Boy Fudge Sauce in another post. As I recall, that was one ofthe best fudge sauces I've had. I think all of the Bob's Big Boys anywhere near me have all closed down. :-(

  • HUD required repairs?

My friend is selling his income property and any potential buyers would probably use a HUD loan (FHA/VA, whatever...) After his tenants moved out, we discovered that the gas fireplace screen is missing.

My friend is under the impression that a fireplace screen is a HUD required item. I don't think it is.

We can't find any mention of it on the HUD website.

Any HUD appraisers out there? :)

Please cite your source(s) so I can show him. Thanks in advance.

  • Recycle plastic w/o redemption value markings?

I noticed some plastic containers have the same recycling number as those with redemption values. Can these be turned in for a redemption?

For instance, plastic drink containers are usually marked 1.

I noticed that cooking oil, spice, and some larger drink containers (large jugs of apple juice, etc...) are also 1, but don't have redemption values.

Can I get paid on the unmarked plastic containers?

  • Cubs vs. D-backs Game 1, 9th inning, what was the red light?

During NLDS Game 1, 9th inning, Cubs vs. D-Backs, the umpires pointed to a guy behind home plate holding a funny flashing red bullseye like light. It seemed like the guy was a member of the production crew or something.

What was that and what happened to it?

  • What is this? A Popita?

I visited Belize and found a stand selling something like a flattened stuffed corn tortilla. The stuffing was pork or chicken & cheese, or just cheese. I think the lady making them called it a "popita" or something like that. But I can't find anything on the internet about "popita" or anything sounding similar.

Kinda reminds me of a quesadilla/poptart with meat and cheese. They are really good and fresh.

The lady was Hispanic, but I don't know if this is Mexican cuisine, Central American cuisine, or something native to Belize.

Anybody know what these are called?

  • Wrigley Field Seating?

I'll be in Chicago Sept 21, so I was thinking of catching a Cub game, but I've never been in Wrigley Field before.

What do you think of these seats?

    Section 218, Row 8

    Section 219, Row 8

The tickets for the first two (sections 218 and 219 both say limited view) I have a bad feeling they are going to be behind the support columns.

Which are the best seats? Or should I pass on these two tickets and look for others?
