You'll need a total skin care regime. Cleanser, exfoliator, toner, and moisturizer + sunscreen. Tip: don't
moisturize you nose area. Spas and Dermatologists usually
have the best products and can specificaly recommend what
you need.

I wouldn't recommend proactiv because, after people stop using it, it makes their skin extra oily and causes blemishes-worse than before. Happened almost everyone I know who used it. Plus, its not worth the money. And proactiv doesn't help oily skin.
-try clean & clear-its cheap and you can buy it when you need it without a wait. I definitely recommend clean & clear SOFT. I use the whole brand and I haven't had any complaints! But, if you don't want to pay alot-use the scrub and moisturizer. I love how they keep the skin so fresh & balanced with the right amount of oil.
-this is probably what your looking for.
And to smooth out the top layers of acne use the in-shower faical- it smoothed out my skin the first time I used it and after that I used the advantage spot gel to dry up the blemish and finshed off with rapid clear spot gel-it really does make your acn go away in 8 hours!
-hope i helped :)

Have you tried Clinique? They make the best products IMHO. I've been using it for years and my face has changed from oily to normal. It's perfect.
Also, if you go to the Clinique counter someone will work with you to type your skin they'll be there to help you if your skin doesn't get better. Also, if it doesn't work, you can return the items.
A tad bit pricey, but fragrance free and hypoallergenic and it works!

use clean and clear oil absorbing sheets. They're great! I've been using them for a couple of months now, and I love them! They're about $5.45 for a pack of 50

if you just have a problem with ashiny face a neat trick isto use a tooilet seat cover.
(yes a toilite cover in the bathroom)
but it works by just dabbing your face and removes most of the oil.
fast, and easy!
