Any Chinese Crested show people??

Just wanted to know if it's 'legal' to nair/veet/shave the hair off of the hairless variety for the purpose of showing?

Someone on a list was explaining how to do that to everyone else, and I just wondered if they're suppose to do that??

Thanks ahead.....

No, deliberate alteration of the appearance is not legal for AKC conformation showing. Hair on the face, etc. can be trimmed for neatness. And the powderpuffs, WITH hair, can be shown too. Here's the breed standard: http://www.akc.org/breeds/chinese_crested/

I don't know if its legal or not, but veet/nair will hurt your pet!
