How and where do I get a mount in World of Warcraft?

Well, as of today, you can get mounts at lvl 30. Technically you can buy a mount before you can use it, but you can't buy the training to ride it untill you reach the required level. At level 30/40 the speed is 60% boost and level 60 is 100%. The closest place to SW to buy a mount is Eastvale Logging Camp in Elwynn Forrest, but you can also get them in Dustwallow Marsh, Wetlands, and Hillsbrad Foothills.

I guess not as of today, but as of the next patch (2.4.3 or 2.4.4) level 30 will be able to use mounts.

Yes, the level has already decreased to 30 and the price has decreased to 35g. Also in this patch was the change from Arean Season III to Season IV. Back to the mounts though, no matter how many people it upsets it's a good thing for the game because new blood that wants in doesn't have to wait as long to get the mount that (as we all know) greatly increases mobility running quests in the larger zones. This new group can zip through the lower levels and get to 70 in time so they are on the same playing field as others when WotLK comes out. Don't forget to get your "Carrot on a Stick"!

Mounts are now cheaper as well.

As for where you buy your mount, if it's not in Stormwind I'd try the 2nd town you quested from. For instance with Tauren it's not in the starter town but Bloodhoof Village (the 2nd quest hub) that you get your mount, they're not in Thunder Bluff which is the capital.

Yeah if you are human SW would be the place.. Ask a guard they will tell you where you can get one. I think you have to have 100g . It will speed up your pace 80% or something close to that.. If you get a epic mount it will more 100% fast. I dont even remember how much gold that it... I know flying mount is 500g

the mount you are talking about is the WoW TCG mount. it's a turtle that has a 0% increase in speed unlike the others which have a 60% increase.
