maybe becuz there is an option for it in the audio settings. go to console settings..audio. choose 5.1 surround or whatever you have

in case you have extra effective than one HDMI enter on your television, attempt switching to the different one. otherwise, i could verify your cable and inputs and make confident they are freed from any airborne dirt and dust or remote places cloth. If that would not artwork, then something may well be incorrect with your cable. Do you employ your television's equipped-in audio device or do you employ exterior ones? if so, the difficulty may well be there.
