Well I think some people were tricked into it and the economy is getting bad...because their agents just wanted to make a sale. But don't get me wrong, there are some people who don't deserve it. It really does ruin someone's life when they lose their home. So I'm 50/50 about it. My husband and I are trying to get something now, but we can afford it because he is in the military and has a stable income..but I would never do it until I knew I could afford it.

I read on cnn.com that our govenrment was about to pass a bill that would help 300,000 sub prime borrowers with their mortgage by offering FHA loans at fixed low interest rates....come on now i am upset at that, these peps made bad financial decisons because they couldnt tell when someone was blowing smoke up their buts, and now our tax money is going to help them get loans AGAIN...totally disgusts me. BTW if you decide to get a house make sure that your note is 1/3rd of your monthy income at the max....thats what some of these mortgage brokers and bankers arent telling you ...they make money on how much $ they can sell!

Not at all, they overextended, no crime there. What I resent is subsidizing criminal bankers. Their crummy little Ponzi scheme folded, like they all do, and the government gives them more. They should be in jail. These neo-cons keep ranting against the liberals, and meanwhile, big business turns into Socialism. I remember when this was a Capitalist system, and people like businesses won and lost on their own nickel.

YES!! Soooo frustrating. these people entered into financial situations they couldn't afford. People are greedy and think they're entitled to home ownership. Now we're supposed to bail them out??? Annoying. Ignorance isn't an excuse. They shouldn't have signed the paperwork if they couldn't make the payments. Plain and simple. The result of their actions is losing their home. Plain and simple!!
