What is the role of best friends?
Are best friends allowed to call you easy or tell you that you have low self esteem?
I have a best friend who is really supportive. She’s always there when I need someone to talk to. We offer comfort, shoulders to one another, and we’re honest to one another and we don’t keep any secrets. But she made such statement as above, is it right?
The thing is she always thinks she is right and great. I had already gotten upset at her over this matter a few months ago and she knew it, but this happens again.

Best friends are supposed to be able to tell each other everything. Best friends are supposed to be honest with each other and tell each other how they really feel. In your case, I think your best friend may have been a little insensitive to just bluntly say you're easy but she was doing what a best friend should do. She was telling you the truth before you got to hear it from someone else. Now if she was only saying it to hurt you that's a whole different story but if she was trying to help you then you should not be bad.

Well your best friends, and she most likely thinks that you need to hear these things. If it bothers you, tell her. But, she may have a point about low self esteem. If you have it, you need to get away from whats causing it. It could take many years to get out of it, if ever.

My husband is my best friend. He is honest with me no matter what. Not to hurt me - but to help me.
I will be honest, sometimes it makes me mad... then I concider what he said and the spirit in which it was said and most of the time he is right.
I would not want a best friend that didn't feel she or he could be honest with me. A best friend is the one you should always be able to count on to be objective and supportive.

yeah best friends also have to tell their friends that they have a low self esteem so that they can work on it....if she is really your best friend then she doesn't mean it in a bad way at all.....but it is something that she sees in things you say , way you react or statement you say about yourself...and she loves you by telling you that!

best friends tell eachother EVERYTHING. mi friend does a lot of things that i dont want her 2 do... but i end up being happy that she did. if ur friend is telling u sumthing bad about urself, then u shood listen to her and work on ur self esteem. she is just trying to help.
