factor 4r^2+9?

i cant remember how to factor like this =o

please help

    There is no solution in real numbers.

    sqrt(-4ac)/2a

    = sqrt(144)/8

    =+/- 12i/8

    = +/- 3i/2

    So, (r - 3i/2)(r+3i/2) should work.

    Where i is the square root of negative 1.

    It can't be factorized , that's the simplest

    you can factor it if it is

    4r^2-9

    4r^2+9=0

    r^2 =-9/4

    r= -2.25i (i.e. its an imaginary number because it comes from taking the square root of a negative).
