What exactly is the point of Yahoo Answers if...?
What is the purpose of this thing if every question just gets reported or removed? If some one doesn't like you or doesn't agree with you, they just report your questions and it gets taken off, just like that? That sucks. Why do all those nasty questions stay, not all fo them get removed? I mean, what's the deal, yo?

Salam sis,
Like Mustapha said, there are a lot of trolls....... and Muslim bashers out there! Also, i can see that a Shia can get insulted by some of the questions asked by Sunni's and vice versa.
I noticed that lot of answers that have 'our' words in it (Arabic, i won't use them now, because my answer will probably get reported than) get reported. God willing that will change!
But one thing, if you get reported and it is invalid, it is worth to appeal, with good reason. In the past when i was a real reg here i did so many times..... result: the reporter will lose his/her credibility, your q or a gets reinstated and your new q & a's will not disappear that quickly.
Also, if you report the really insulting, nasty questions /answers yourself, and they go indeed against the guidelines, you become trusted and the offending questions/answers you report will disappear sooner!
I guess that we 'bro's & sisters' might be more careful with reporting than the trolls, clones, Muslim Bashers etc. I know i only report when the question or answer is really insulting and to be honest, 9 out of 10 times i do not even take the trouble, i just sigh and move on.
I wish though that when you get a violation that Y!A would mention WHO reported you. I would not mind one bit that a person wouId know i reported him/her, because like i said, i do so only when really the q/a is offending and i've got nothing to hide. I bet though that a lot of q/a's won't be reported anymore than and that only the real trespasses will be reported!
Peace,
Tiffy

Trolls, these people have nothing better to do, i think yahoo answers are on the trolls side because a lot of trollish questions and answers stay and when i report trolls it still doesn't work but real questions and answers get removed. Somebody actually took the time to make sure i get suspended on my last account. He kept reporting and reporting until i got suspended. Just get use to it. Every site has its trolls.

I agree. People who report questions inappropriately are wasting everybody's time, including theirs.

I agree. But it gives you a chance to let your emotions out without other people knowing who you are.
