Does anyone know where I can get free music recording software???
I used to have Acid 4.0, but my computer crashed. I don't have the disc to reinstall it. Is there any program that I can use to record. I don't need effects, or anything special I just want to record, playback and if possible record a few tracks on the same song.
And I'm not using the built in sound recorder in windows, I need something a little better then that.

audacity (its just like acid but a little harder to manuever through I think, acid is worth the price in my opinion)

Try using "Ares"...u can get anything from there for free....the software is free and occupies only 1 Mb approximately...u just have to type the name of the file and a list of mirrors and servers appear frm where u can directly download the file....u can also choose which type of file u want i.e. audio, video, software, document, etc... u can learn more about it and download the software from its official website for free:

Roxio CD/DVD burner. It can be gotten At Wal-Mart for about 30 bucks. You can record from an analog audio source with it. Good choice for audio if you can't find anything for free.
