Very good question. I was going to ask the same thing.
I was doing some research today and it seems the last time the DREAM Act went on the senate floor was OCtober last year. They say that the bill is not probable and that it wont even be up for debate until 2009. This is a big blow to people like you and me, as this leaves us no choice but to either go to a foreign land and try to start all over, or remain here in the shadows unable to work, apply for credit, or even renew our drivers license. I feel for you man. Let's hope that god has a solution to this. ONe day, I hope I can walk into a Macy's and apply for that damn 10% discount credit card.

There are only so many funds that can be spent on discounts like in state tuition or other tuition help. When our own children, many of them, can't afford to go to a four year college without going into serious debt (if they can do it at all), I think it is criminal to give in state tuition to people illegally here. They have already taken education funds from our children's schools to the tune of $10,000 per year for education throughout the time they were here. That is more than enough. There isn't enough to go around, and we need to take care of our own children first.
