Should the Suns sign Robin Lopez?

I think they should. An excellent backup for Shaq when he is in foul trouble and they still need to be in halfcourt against teams like the Spurs. He is a good back to the basket post up player, just like Shaq. So Shaq will definetely help him with his game no problem. An excellent choice.

Update:

THEY DONT HAVE 2 SIGN HIM RETARDS THEY CAN TRADE HIM.

I think it was a good pick for the Suns for a no. of reasons. As someone mentioned the Suns could use him as a backup for O'Neal when he's in foul trouble or when he needs a breather. If he's (Lopez) any good at playing D, he shouldn't have to score as much as most people know the Suns have always been good at scoring. Pretty much the same idea Steve Kerr had when he signed O'Neal, throwing some height and weight in there with O'Neal in hopes that he would have dominated the boards & played D giving the Suns many chances for fast break oppurtunities, which really didn't happen. But just hopefully, maybe this year they can implement Lopez in that way. And the other thing, which played a very crucial part in the playoffs between the Spurs and Suns, O'Neals inability to shoot free throws, which I thought was a low blow, rather than playing straight ball. But if it came to that again, hopefully the Suns will throw Lopez in there assuming he'd be able to make his free throws, while still maintaing that height in the center. If he can dominate in the paint on offense, even better.

They should. Robin Lopez can run the floor pretty well (better than his brother). And then when Shaq 's in foul trouble, that's the guy you can count on in defense and rebounding. And more importantly, they will have a 9 man rotation.

Yes he will totally fit in with the Suns system. Shaq/Lopez

    Stoudemire/Diaw/Lopez

    SF Hill/Diaw/Tucker

    SG Bell/ Barbosa

    PG Nash/Barbosa

This was a great choice for them. He fits what Terry Porter and Kerr are bringing to the Suns.....defense and intensity. Lopez will rebound and block shots and do the dirty work. Perfect fit.
