Yes, it's perfectly safe to wear sunglasses inside. I do so all the time. As long as your cause of photophobia (light sensitivity) is diagnosed, it's 100% acceptable to 'self treat' by wearing sunglasses.
It will not harm your vision. If they are too dark, it may cause temporary discomfort (eye strain), but this is not damaging.

Clear Sunglasses are fine as long as they have 100% UV protection. But remember if it doesn't have a tint (green/grey/brown) a lot of visible light gets through the sunglasses in outdoors causing glare/reflection onto your eyes. If possible get a clear polarized sunglasses which will make your life even better as it reduces the glare by a lot. But I would always suggest you to get a tinted Sunglasses when you are outside.

Perhaps you should have your eyes checked. I had cataracts and was very sensitive to glare and had to wear sunglasses even at night, as the street lights blinded me.
Flourescent lights always bother me, and I wear sunglasses because of this. You may have a slight problem---unless you think it's just "cool" to wear sunglasses.

You really need to watch Samantha Pearson's video at http://www.restoremyvisiontoday.info/ It tells you how you can 100% naturally and safely cure almost any visual problem and the real truth about the Eyecare industry...thing is.. your glasses and contact lenses are in fact making your eyes worse.
At first I didn't believe it but right now I don't need glasses anymore. I feel like something magic has happened to me, crazy!

Makes you look like Johnny Bravo. It might affect your eyes on how sensitive they are to light. Not that great.

your eyes have to strain to see the light -

I hope not or I am in trouble. I am addicted to sunglasses. They are my weakness. I wear them everywhere =]

Yeh if it's so dark you walk into your furniture and end up looking like a slapstick comedy routine.
