The true trust of a Staffie?
I have an adopted Staffie who i got 2 mths ago when she was handed over to the rescue i help... She was over weight from being fed but locked in a flat on her own for 12hrs a day, never being taken out or walked....
She's only 18mths old but i know she had puppies at 8mths... :(
She had a slight limp & scarring on her back leg, but the vet who checked her said it was only a stretched ligament.... (NOT my vet)
Now she saw my vet but as it didn't bother her & she's not in pain she said to leave it but bring her back if it got worse; so i did & took her for xrays to establish what is going on....
I cried when i spoke to the vet as she actually has a fractured pelvic & leg; healed but unlikely treated.... Her hock is the problem & eventually she'll need surgery to fuse the joint......
She is the sweetest dog ever, never barks, never growls- just talks to you!!
So after all she's been thru, she can still feel that bond with people, even tho she was treated so poorly...
The vet thinks she must've been hit by a car & dragged.... She's far from my worst cruelty case, but to see her with my little boy & foster pups is sooo wonderful!!
ADD: Yep from the end of last year, if your caught without a muzzle it's a fine of a few hundred euro...... So stupid......

staffies are loving dogs ... im sure once she gets used to you and your family she will start to bond with you ...she is a beautiful little thing .....it angers me soooooo much that anyone can go out and get a dog treat it like crap ..and then hand it to a rescue house cause they cant cope ..... people should be vetted before they are allowed to get dogs and cat its a good job there are people like you in this world to take them in and love them !!! =)

The poor darling!
I have no doubt in my heart that this girl can and will trust you.
You have taken her from that horrible life she had and now she is in a forever home with people who can look after her and offer her all the love she could want.
She is a cutie and looks like a dog called Simba at Battersea.
Best wishes and give her a big hug from me.
ADD- I saw you write on another question that Staffies are on the Dangerous dogs List in Ireland!
I can't believe that!!!!
