Where was the Germany vs. Portugal game held last week?

It was either on Wednesday 18th or Thursday 19th. Was it held in / around the district of Prenzlauer Berg in Berlin, and if not, why was there such a massive football crowd there that night?

Update:

Thanks all, I'm not really a football fan, I just wondered why so many fans seemed to have congregated in one pace when I couldn't really see any stadium.

It was held in Basle (Switzerland). Maybe you're referring to a "public viewing" site in Berlin.
