Installed safari 3.1.1 on 10.3.9 Mac OS not compatable need to get back to orig.?

I'm not a mac user but my gf is, her browser was haveing problems so we went to the MAC website and downloaded the newest version of safari.3.1.1. I guess it wasn't supposed to load but it did anyways. Now it won't run and we can't find out how to revert back. I've been browsing around the apple site for a while but I can't find the info I seem to need. Is there a system restore feature like XP? is there an uninstall? Step by step would be helpfull.

Update:

I took it to the apple store finally and they said it's a common problem and that safari is like IE it gets ingrained into the OS and there isn't anyway to remove it except reload the operating system. They reloaded 10.3.9 and brought my docs over.

i don't think mac os 10.3.9 has time machine (system restore)

but if you want to uninstall anything on a mac, just drag the application from the application folder to the trash can, and empty trash can. it is as easy as that.

First, download the old Safari installer.(Don't install yet) Right click on the 3.1.1 Safari icon, and click Show Package Icons. Drag and drop everything in there to the trash can. Install the old Safari and your done!

You can get it off the install CD that came with the computer. ;) You should just be able to drag and drop it off the CD onto your desktop.
