Violation help?
Okay, my turn to get a violation and I don't really understand why -I really don't believe I'm being rude, chatty, or mean. What I say about going barefoot may seem strange to some but is totally true. I did include links to the Vibram & Pocketslippers sites, but no affiliate links, I'm not involved with those companies and that *was* what was asked for (I got picked as best too). Unfortunately a few people are very much opposed to bare feet and believe it is indecent to go barefoot but to most of us bare feet aren't private parts and I certainly don't think it's inappropriate content to just *post* about it! I don't care about the points or seeing the answer replaced but I do want to know what's wrong so I can avoid it in the future, and Y!A support only gave the standard 'read the guidelines' answer. Which I did and I still don't know which rule applied here. Anyone?
Question & answer in additional details 'cause I run out of space here. Thank you!
Question: Shoe problems????
Question Details: This is going to sound really weird but I hate wearing shoes. I love buying them and stuff but I would really rather just go barefoot, the problem is that I live in a big city and not wearing shoes doesn't work. Are there any shoes that are like not wearing shoes at all???
Deleted Answer: I live in a mid-size town, regularly go to the city, and I haven't worn footwear for over eleven years. If you're determined enough, it *does* work, just ignore the looks and comments... it's not
dangerous, unhealthy or gross, in all those years I get a tiny splinter maybe once a year, and I've NEVER had a cut. As for dirt, our skin is made to keep pathogens out, and feet are fully washable. Just do it! If you really need to wear footwear, try the vibram fivefingers or the pocketslippers, links in the source, or try mocassins made entirely of
thin leather (not the ones with a stiff, even sometimes rubber, sole).

Your answer did not violate any rules. It is not chatting when you let an asker know that your preferences are similar and that because of your personal experience you know which companies sell the kind of footwear she is looking for. The user was looking for an answer like yours, so I can only imagine that another user falsely reported you because he misunderstood your answer and thought it to be spam. Please protest the violation notice, the first answer from YA may be automated, but if you are persistant, eventually a real life staff member will look into the matter. Good luck!

There is a guy at my university who always goes barefoot, except for when it's really cold in winter. Strangely, I have stumbled upon this guy for the first time the next day after joining society for barefoot living. While I think that he is weird, it is not because he doesn't have shoes but because his behavior is strange. However, I have respect for him for not wearing shoes, and I think that if you like to go barefoot, certainly do it without respect to what anyone else says, as long as it doesn't violate the law - which, I believe, it doesn't in America - but some places won't let you in without shoes.
I myself plan to start going barefoot everywhere, however I'm still doing my research about the subject.
As for shoes, I believe I have seen something that imitates shoes but doesn't have a bottom. Maybe you can but the five finger thing and then cut out the bottom. Though I don't know how that is going to hold. Lol. Best of luck to you.

Hello! My long-time contact Miriam breaks her question silence, apparently! I'm sorry it's about such a sore subject. The fact is,Dear, that Yahoo deletes questions and answers indiscriminately. In other words, when they get reported, they get deleted, without being read first. It happens to me now and then. There's a link at the top of the Y7 homepage-I forget which one-that allows you to truly appeal the decision. Answering the email is not the same. Do that and you will probably win, people do.Good luck, and,by all means.start asking questions once in a while!

I've had loads of violations - for no reason whatsoever - so i can say to you in all honesty - you've done NOTHING wrong!!! Its not about bare feet or the shoe company - its about someone on here - effing weazel it is too, that reports anyone with a brain and a personality!!! I'm almost at my quest end to find the little f****r and when i find its name i'll e-mail you! Don't feel 'violated' ( stupid name ) - you will find out who it is!!! A clue is:- likes to give lots and lots of thumbs down ( the thumbs down fairy we call IT) but it will be exposed!!! Please don't lose heart and please stay with us!

I don't see anything wrong with that. You answered the question honestly and completely. Nothing was offensive. It wasn't chatty.
