12 weeks pregnant - will the fatigue go away pretty soon?

I just found out that I'm pregnant - about 12 weeks. (31 years old, 1st pregnancy). I haven't been terribly nauseous - just occasionally - and I haven't thrown up. But the fatigue has been pretty intense. Even though I am healthy and very fit, I'm feeling completely exhausted all the time. Just walking around the block makes me feel like I've run a 10K. I can't make it through a work-out without getting lightheaded. By the end of the day, I'm too wiped out to do anything besides plop on the couch. ugh! My doctor said that this is pretty normal at first. Does anyone know of a safe, healthy way to get my energy level back up, or do I just have to wait it out? Please tell me this fatigue will go away soon!!

Thanks :-)

you will regain energy in your 2nd trimester, but come your 3rd....expect the fatigue to be worse than it is now. The best advice I can give you is eat healthy and often, drink water, and get plenty of rest (while you can!!).

Been pregnant 3 times and the fatigue was so terrible the first 3 months. It was okay up until about the 8th month when you get so loaded down with baby that it's hard to do anything. So, months 3-8 I felt pretty good. Take lots of naps and you will find some energy!

You'll just have to rest and drink tons of water. That's the best thing you can do that's healthy for you and the baby. And you'll be tired a lot from here on out, then once you get well into your second trimester you'll notice a boost in your energy, but it'll go back down, unfortunately, in your third trimester as you get closer and closer to the due date! But it's all worth it. Hope this helps and best wishes.

at the beginning you are able to desire to be ill in view which you're actually not on your anti- depressants and your hormones are changing. i'd get yet another dr if I have been you. you need to end smoking as a results of fact your toddler is getting smoke in case you do not end smoking now your toddler could have scientific issues and would properly be a small toddler. think of approximately your toddler, every time you inhale the smoke your toddler's stops respiration for that sec. I end smoking while i replaced into 14 weeks preg with my son 18 years in the past and not in any respect smoked with my youngest daughter. yet another ingredient you need to under no circumstances end medicine and not using a dr's help. Im on meds for stress and if I do t take my meds for some days i'm a reck the superb ingredient for you would be ask yet another dr to place you on a anti- depressant secure on your toddler.
