Were Attitude Era fans happy with tonight's Raw?
It had maybe 20 minutes of actual wrestling, a ton of promos, multiple title matches, and the world title changing hands. Were Attitude Era fans happy with the way Raw went down?
BQ: Is Raw better when it has a lot of promos and very little wrestling (like tonight) or when it has more wrestling and minimal promos?

LOL...
They should be happy, plus a younger wrestler won the World Title on the show, so what's to complain about? Unless they expect Stone Cold to come out with a vehicle or The Rock to play his Def Comedy Jam moments, I guess it will leave most of them satisfied.
BQ: For casual fans who barely can pay attention to matches without a ton of high spots, lots of promos are better. For me personally, I prefer more wrestling, and GOOD wrestling matches. WWE could have a ton of matches on an episode of RAW, and they could all be crap. The matches need to be quality and worth watching.

You don't get it, it stopped being about wrestling a long time ago, it's about entertainment and this was one of the most entertaining RAWs in recent memory. The ways of true wrestling started to come to an end when Hulkamania was born, and went even further with Austin, and Finally with The Rock was changed from old school wrestling to wrestling entertainment permanently.
Raw is best when it has 5 8-15 minute good wrestling matches. And the rest are promos and etc. The better the superstars, the longer the match

HAHA. Raw tonight was decent other than CM Punk winning the World Heavyweight Championship. But thing is... they had to have a lot of promos for everything to work out perfectly tonight.
But I think Raw won't have the same "attitude era" show next week as it did tonight.
WQ : By far, more wrestling and minimal promos.

Good question. The Attitude Era fans should be happy. Just like the original ECW, that time period wasn't just about high spots and "OMG!" moments. It was about creativity and WWE definetly showed that. Another thing Attitude Era fans should like is the fact that C.M. Punk won the World Heavyweight Title. For a change, somebody different from the usual superstars won the belt. Punk represents a new breed of wrestlers. A new breed that it set apart from the John Cenas and the Triple H(es). The Attitude Era was about new and edgy stuff, and it's about time that the babyfaces stop playing dumb and become oppurtunists. That's what Punk did, and he captured the gold. I'm an Attitude Era fan and I was very happy with how tonight went. I don't know what it is, but I just love backstage segments. Not interviews and face-to-face stuff but actual events taking place backstage, such as Edge slapping the Edgeheads or Cena getting thrown out of the building, or Kane chasing Jamie Noble. That kind of stuff adds dimension to shows. Why should I have to sit through 2 hours of bad booking and lame finishes, when I can just watch really good promos? Don't get me wrong I love technical wrestling and fast-paced stuff but WWE doesn't have the ability to do that. However the RAW creative team was spot-on with their promos. Seeing little things like Cryme Tyme get involved in the main event just add so much depth, its hard to explain. The Attitude Era was full of backstage stuff, and the segments usually meant something. Whether they set up a main event or a PPV, they were always pretty useful. I saw nothing wrong with devotiing the majority of air time to creative promos and backstage segments today.
BQ: Having said that, if they are going to feed us with backstage fillers, I don't want to see a bunch of Hornswoggle BS or Mae Young kissing Charlie Haas. I want to see more wrestlers getting beaten up by security. I want to see Santino Marella make a complete @ss out of himself on LIVE television (even though that is kind of funny). I want to see more chokeslams to the RAW announce table. And the good thing about this is that WWE usually makes it up with their in-ring action on Smackdown and ECW, especially the "Land of Extreme". So in closing, I think if WWE wants to give RAW the promos and minimal wrestling then they have to do it right. There's no either/or to this exact question. We've seen WWE screw up promos worse than they do with matches. It isn't all pretty. But I'm in favor of lot's of promos. *STARRED*

They should be, that was exactly the blueprint of the "attitude era".
BQ: Give me me more wrestling and less promos !!! If they are going to only have four matches on a program, at least let the matches be 15 to 20 mins long, not 4 to 5 mins.

RAW was okay, I didn't see the whole show but hated all those promos I mean damn. Well yeah they should be happy.
The only thing I liked from what I saw today was CM Punk winning the title, man did i mark-out for that one.
BQ. With wrestling of course, good wrestling.

COME ON MN HEAT OF COURSE THEY ARENT HAPPY YET. NOW HAD THE MAIN EVENT BEEN 5 MINUTES SHORTER AND FILLED WITH ANOTHER PROMO AND TWO MORE TITLES HAVE CHANGED HANDS AND PUNK WAS A HEEL AND SOMEONE DROVE A BEER TRUCK TO THE RING THEN THEY MIGHT BE HAPPY. OH YEAH VINCE WOULD HAVE ALSO NEEDED TO GET STUNNED ALONG WITH A EVENING GOWN MATCH.
PROMOS ARE BAD FOR MY FAST FORWARD BUTTON.
MORE WRESTLING WITH MINIMAL PROMOS IS ALOT BETTER.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Now maybe WWE will succeed in getting their precious attitude fans back.
EDIT: Now that Cm Punk has been champion for 2 hours, don't you think his title reign is becoming stale.........
BQ Raw: wrestling>promos any day.

I was happy with tonights Raw, i liked how the title changed hands, it was really unexpected, the matches tonight were good, all except the tag team match, but hey they are establishing Ted and Cody as dominant champs and great heels which is great..
BQ:More wrestling and less promos.
