your question is a little bit confusing but i get your point, this is the first time that the top 1,2,3&4 are knocked out before the quarter finals!

What do u mean 'top seeds'..

U mean top 5, top 10 or what?

It's the first time though, that the top 4 have been tossed out.

It's a shame to women's tennis really. They had no business tumbling out like that..especially losing to ,'what-their-faces'..U wonder whether these clowns deserve to be top seeds. This is why wimbledon should use the same concept they use to place men's seeds bcoz clearly rankings don't mean crap in women's tennis. Serena and Venus proved that at last year's AO and Wimbly respectively.

the "top 4 seed" are the top because they play a lot.

the way the tennis players are seeded is ridiculous.

if you play a lot during the tour, then you're bound to get a higher ranking.

if the williams sisters played as often as some of the other women did, they'd be one and two for a long, long time.

so i'm not surprised that the "top 4 seeds" were eliminated.

    they're paper champs anyway.

Never. This is the first time ever in the Open era that none of the women's top four make it into the quarterfinals.
