I'll address this portion of your question:

"Listen Basically i was asking why does a person who excepts jesus in to their hearts at a young age and live a bad life get to go to heaven if a person who lives a good life their whole life not get to go to heaven....."

This is the "Onced Saved Always Saved" doctrinal belief. Every Christian does not believe once you are saved you are alwasys saved. For instance, in the scenario you have given regarding the person who accepts Jesus as a child but continues to live a reprobate life...well it's an extremely HIGH possibility they chose to spit in the face of God and return their salvation.

Here are some verses to cover what I'm saying:

Words of Jesus Christ...read carefully to see the backsliders and those who loose salvation:

Luke 8: 11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. 13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. 14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. 15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience

He says, "...and these have no root, which for a WHILE BELIEVE, and in time of temptation fall away."

Hebrews 6: 4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. 7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: 8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

Romans 1: 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Compare with Titus 1: 16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

So some Christians can loose their salvation if they choose to continue in their sinful ways and deny Christ. This does not mean if a Christian is living in sin they will not receive chastisement. Hebrews Chapter 12 talks about God chastening sons and if you do not receive chastisement then you are a ******* and not a child of God. Some Christians can go so far that their “conscience becomes seared with a hot iron” ( 1 Timothy 4: 1-5)

Lastly here are some more words from our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ after the parable of the two servants:

Matthew 24: 44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. 45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? 46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. 48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; 49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; 50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, 51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him HIS PORTION WITH THE HYPOCRITES: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

If you're privy on the weeping and gnashing of teeth, or simply Matthew 24 you know this is in reference to the 2nd coming of Christ and judgment where he says the "unfaithful" servant will be assigned his portion with the hypocrites. Two points here:

First the hypocrite is also assigned a portion in damnation

Second the unfaithful servant is assigned a portion in damnation

What does this mean? People can "fall away" from the faith and spit in Christ's face and reject him. Have you ever been given a gift and been unable to return it? I mean if you REALLY wanted to return it to the giver...what's stopping you? You could leave it on the door, rudely shoove it into their hands and walk away despite their protests...YOU CAN RETURN THE GIFT.

Same goes for the gift of eternal salvation. If you spit in God's face too long guess what?

I am a Bible believing christian, but I don't believe like a religious person, I believe in God like I have a relationship. I believe in every word in the Bible. Humans can create many things, but the closer we come to the end the weaker our faith becomes. Religion has created barriers between us, and I have faith that it will only get worse before it gets better. Faith is what makes people believe there is a God, I believe in a loving God whom I call father. If I were only to trust the things I see, I would be a doubting and lost person. I have to believe that when I am driving home my House will be there, sure I can say that the street is there, because I see it, but I don't want the street to be the only thing I believe is there. Evil was created by man, not God, Hell is a place where his presence is completely gone. Slowly the Truth is being taken away from this world, God is the truth, we are making a hell like world because we are exploring other truths, I believe in the truth that there is a street (I believe in science) but I don't believe that this is all there is. Religions explore the false truths, so I skip the religion part and just Love God. I will with all my strength make a world a better place, full of the presence of Love, Life, Truth, and Good. I can not force anyone to believe, but the time has ended to be playing games the world is becoming a living Hell, I dare you to turn on the news and count all that is wicked and count all that is good. I dare you to ask your grandparents if the world now is the same world they lived in. Sure it is more prosperous, but what has our wealth gotten us? Greed, and corruptness. They say animals can feel the nature, such as earthquakes, and us humans unless we know it is happening we are obliviouss to our feelings. I believe us humans feel the impact of the end. Yolo, 2012, Zombie Apocalypses, we feel the end of the world coming soon, but not a physical end, a spiritual one. Tell me when did animals become more loving than humans, we have consciences they don't. When did we become so stupid as to let our children do stupid things, such as play with knives, swallow condoms and Cinnamon, our world is dying and then we ask why? Where is God!? Guess what God did not choose to leave, we pushed him out, and now we blame him. Guess what his is still on the same place he has allways been, on his thrown, waiting for us as one to ask for him back. We have forsaken God not the other way around. Even after this you still won't believe because of a lack of faith, and because of hard hearts. We have hard hearts so that we wont feel anything when we watch the people in this world die or get hurt.

We are all sinners, you must become a born again Christian

for your salvation. It does not matter what has happened, you have to ask for forgiveness. As far as Heaven, 20,000 will live in Heaven alongside with God, if I am explaining this correctly ( I am still studying) and all others will live on paradise earth once it has been restored to its original state.

When I say all others, I mean resurrected from their eternal sleep, those who have died before us. So as for the extremely evil who refuse to seek forgiveness will not be resurrected to live on paradise earth.

Revelation says that if a person truely believes in God they will go to heaven. But we're never going to know who actualy goes to heaven..only God knows. Also a Christian shouldn't identify a fellow Christian as being evil and judgemental because that means they are being judgemental themselves.

Someone should beam you to the Earth instution known as a 'library'. St Paul explicitly states that what you say is not the case. You are judged by whether your disbelief is your fault or not.

    Sillly Cyntherian.

I hope you are like 12, maybe up to 19 if challenged somehow. You know all about your football team, favorite beer, and the diameter of your carburetor (how is that spelled, I don't touch the things, ruins my makeup) but you are just knowing exploring this unimportant sideline. Typical male. Sorry Dad.

The question of where anyone goes when they die, has absolutely nothing to do with how 'good' or 'bad' they were, my friend...........

The only thing that matters is whether they have accepted Jesus Christ as their own personal Saviour or not...........that is what determines their final destination at death..........

    God Bless..............

Added: Okay, I was born-again when I was a 9 year old little girl..........During my teenage years, I strayed from the Lord and dabbled with different 'sin'...........I CAN assure you, that Jesus Christ didn't 'leave' my heart - He was still there............

I was 'back-slidden' - did NOT loose my salvation. Yes, it is possible for a child to accept the Lord as their Saviour....and yet, when they grow up, become a very evil person........when they die, their soul belongs to Jesus.....the Bible tells us that some are 'saved as if by fire'..........

Man judges by the outward appearance but God judges what is in a man's heart.

I am just a man not unlike you. I am capable of doing great and many wrongs as well as many good and right things just like you are.

Many, many people claim to be "Christian" just to fit in, to be accepted, because it gives them a higher standing in the community or a few more votes. But saying you are a Christian doesn't make you one even as putting a rock in a bread box doesn't make it a loaf of bread.

In the book of James it says tell me you are a Christian by your words (without your works) and I will show you my faith by my works. Faith without works is dead.

In the end though I can only see a man's appearance, not his heart. But he knows, I know, you know whether you believe on the Lord Jesus the Christ for salvation or not.... and of course God knows too.

Whether a person goes to heaven is not reliant on what he, himself, can do to save himself (do good works, receive communion, be baptised, bow down 3 times in prayer, keep coming back to this life til you get it right, etc.) but is wholly dependent on what the Christ has already done for forgiveness of our sins.

It is your choice. You can try to be "good enough" to get to heaven, which you can never do, or you can accept what the Christ has already done for us, which can never be undone.

There were 2 men crucified with the Christ so long ago. These 2 men were guilty of crimes great enough to be sentenced to death. Many would have considered them evil. The Christ was not guilty of anything. One of the theives turned to the Christ, recognized Him as his Savior and asked for His salvation. The Christ turned to him and said, "Truly I tell you that you shall be in paradise with me."

Was the thief evil? By his own admission he was. But he was also saved because he accepted the Christ's payment for his sins. He could not add one more thing to make himself more acceptable to God. Neither can I. Neither can you.

So stop trying to judge others by what they do and whether they will go to heaven or not. The only heart you can judge is your own. Concentrating on that should give you enough subject matter to last your lifetime. And as you are doing that you might consider answering the question, "What will you do with Jesus?"

it depends on if the relationship with Jesus exists in all instances.

Basically, it is still the relationship. Do you think it is unfair? Does what humans think is unfair matter. God lets us know what we need to do and what happens if one fails to do it. He is trying to let you into heaven. You are trying to use human reasoning on how people should be let into to heaven on how they act. No one is good enough, does not matter how they lived their life. It is about the relationship.

No, once a christian is not always a christian.. Just because you go to church, it doesn't make you a christian. No they don't go to heaven.

  • 1 decade ago

    Quite possibly.

The entrance test isnt one of deeds or even perfection. Even you Captain Kirk fall short of perfection and you sin as we all do. And how much good is enough for good people to be in heaven? What happens when they slip? Then how much more good do they have to do?

The entrance test is simple, it just isnt easy.
