Should we move to Salt Lake City, Utah?
My husband and I would like to move to Salt Lake City but do not know much about the area. We do enjoy being outdoors, mountain biking and snowboarding. We are Christians and are worried about all of the Mormons that everyone always talks about that live in Salt Lake City. What do you think???

You should know that the members of the church do favor other church members by patronage of business jobs, etc. As is natural and good, everyone should support their fellow church members ahead of other people. There are many non-Mormons in Salt Lake also.
Why not rent a place there by the month and try it for a while ?
If you find you don't want to stay, it would be easy to move again
My neighbors, Mormons, are retired teachers and very nice people.
I think you will like living there quite a lot..

Why would you worry about Mormons? They're nice people. I would be more worried about being bored to death. Sure there's the mountains, but what you gonna do in between snowboarding trips?

ahh don't not move there because of the mormons. It's actually all hype about them being bad anyway.
MOVE THERE for what you LOVE!!!!.
I'm sure you will easily find a great christian church and will LOVE the outdoors and meet other christians who also love the outdoors.
Source(s): I lived there and am not mormon. Only moved back to MI because of my family and now I want to go back. - How do you think about the answers? You can sign in to vote the answer.

It's a very natural place to live. So much nature yet so much city. And Christians like us rock (YAY were both Christian) so don't worry about them

it is georgous out there! but it is a little bubble. mostly because it is a valley and it is full of mormons. you are christian so i think you will be fine. i would say to take a mini vacation out there, maybe while apartment hunting and that way if you dont like it you arent stuck!
Source(s): been there twice and i am a little scared of the mormons.... did i mention that i am mormon? - 1 decade ago
It's a beautiful place. Just be prepared to have people missionaries knocking on your door.
Mormons don't believe that people who are not Mormons go to hell... so that's a plus.... they're very nice people usually.

The mormons wont attack you on sight. They're more afraid of you than you are of them, like cougars.
