350 Rancher Quad-Oil 10/40 or 20/50 ???

I live in So. Cal. and it runs about 100 degrees for most of the summer. My cooling fan doesn't work, (that's a different issue), so it runs a little hot. I also have a 250 Recon that has no cooling system and no oil filter, so it runs a little hot. The Quad shops here recommend 20/50 for all models. Just trying to get some feed back.

Sounds about right for warm weather. I race a high output sport quad that can get really warm sometimes, and I run 10/50. So, running that in a utility, you should have no problem.

    20/50

It's thicker and won't break down as fast as the lighter oil, in the high temperatures.
