Texas as a state is very conservative, but I would say of the cities in Texas Corpus Christi and Austin are by far the most accepting of a gay lifestyle, but that's just my honest opinion.

    Maybe Austin more than Corpus...

Austin- yes, definitely..... they say the only problem with Austin is that it's surrounded by Texas..... I don't know about Corpus, but if you go to the coast, don't drink the water...

Austin is like San Francisco's little sister... not soooo sure about Corpus. Try to move to Austin, it is better.

Austin, definitely... I'm not too sure of Corpus, though.

Austin, for sure. Corpus, eh, it is okay, you don't have to be all closeted on the street or anything, but there isn't much in the way of nightlife.

Austin, yes, Corpus, not so much.

Austin, Dallas and Houston could be truly gay-friendly. different places, no longer lots. i think that, over the years, the repeal of "do no longer Ask, do no longer tell" will exchange critiques even in Texas while they get a clue that they are defended by capacity of brave gay infantrymen. however the church homes down there do no longer tend to be liberal; they are generally fundamentalist, and that's no longer useful while it incorporates molding the attitudes of most of the state.

Austin is definitely open minded. Go there. You will be welcome in the Montrose and Heights areas in Houston, so come visit from time to time. The rest of Texas might be a little rednecky for your tastes.
