Xbox questions?
Ok, I am getting ready to buy an xbox 360. Just have a few questions for those that are experienced and have everything setup.
1. I currently have a macbook with wireless built in. Do I just run the ethernet cord from the xbox to the laptop, and be good to go with online play? Or will I have to get the wireless bs for the xbox? Also, what other cables may I need? I have an LCD TV.
2. In your opinion, is the elite really worth it, or will the pro be sufficient? I dont plan on going crazy with music or movies. Im just buying for game play.
3. Will taking this back and forth between two internet carriers be trouble? What I mean, my parents have internent where I may play on the weekends if I get bored, and then, I have it at my apartment during the week.

1. If u have wireless internet, all u need to do is run the ethernet cord. U don't need any other cables. U don't need to buy any other thing for it. If u don't have internet connection, then u need to buy the "wireless bs" for the 360.
2. If you're just looking to play and you're not a serious gamer, get the pro. Don't get the arcade version. IMO, the Pro is worth it. The only reason the elite is worth more is because it has more memory and it doesn't freeze as much. With the Pro and wireless internet connection, u don't even need to buy any games. Xbox live is awesome and they have hundreds of demos. It's the best. I played 24/7 without buying a single game.
3. Well, I was sort of in the same situation as u. The computer is downstairs, so when I wanted to play, I would bring the modem upstairs, and when I was done, I would bring it downstairs. The internet connection started having some trouble, but I found out it had nothing to do with that. The xbox was fine. Anyways, to answer your question, I doubt anything will happen to it. I think it will be fine.

1. Yeah, you can do that. You might have to bridge the wireless connection to the Ethernet output of your laptop. I had to do that, but I don't have a Mac, so I'm not sure.
2. Pro isn't worth the extra money. It does, however, look very very cool.
3. No. I take my 360 to my friends' houses all the time and have no problem connecting to their internet.
