The add-on may be legal but downloading videos and music for free is illegal globally.

the add ons are fine for firefox as in legal but unless you have paid for the music that isnt legal im afraid hope this helps your fellow user of firefox

No they are free and legal. If you have firefox you can get 'Dictionary add ons' for french or other languages.

Go to the firefox home page they are easy to find.

Every Add-on is legal tho, but if you use them to break a law (lets say copyright infringement) you're performing an illegal act :)

Also, It's not very secure to download music that way, because that add-on wont hide your IP and such, you'll have no privacy ;)

Depends what country you are in and what music and videos you are downloading.

If it is blatantly copyrighted material then I would guess that it is some sort of p2p add-on in which case its not legal to use for these things in most english speaking countries.

but like I say it depends what YOU download. The program itself is not illegal as you can use it for completely legitamate purposes, like downloading LINUX distros. or family photos or un-copyrighted videos etc.. Its the files YOU choose that make what YOU do with the program legal or illegal.

I just got Firefox yesterday.

Kinda depends on the content that you're downloading. The addon itself should be legal - the 'tool' is usually legal just like downloading in the first place is 'legal' it just depends what you are downloading ;).

if you are getting music for free that is not posted directly by the artist its illegal...sorry :)
