My lovely wife just bought me a Wii with the Sports package. Any suggestions as to what else we should get?

I bought the same thing for my husband! :) Well I would suggest Zelda, its the only Wii game that got ten out of ten stars. But there are so many games for the Wii that are based on your interests, like sports, cooking, guitars, so I would get a game that youre interested in! Oh and Mario Cart is fun too! Its a racing game. Have fun!

Buy more wiimotes and nutchunks if you want to play multiplayer. Wiimotes cost $40 and notchuncks cost $20.

I reccomend wii play, it is a fun multiplayer game. Super smash bros brawl is a fun fighting game and doesn't get old. Mario kart wii comes with a wii wheel ($25 value) . Zelda Twilight Princess is a great Zelda game.

You don't need a memory card, the wii has internal disc space. However, you can view pictures on your wii with an sd card.

At the wii's shop channel you can buy old games (NES, SNES, N64...etc). You purchase them with wii points, which can be bought at stores for $20, or with a credit card at the wii shop channel. You need a wireless router or nintendo wifi adapter to enter the shop channel, and download games. Most virtual concole games (old games) require either a gamecube controller or a classic controller which costs like $25.

I recommend that you download the internet channel from the wii shop channel. It only costs $500 points (about $5.00) and you can browse the internet with it. The internet channel can even play youtube videos.

Buy an extra Wii remote and nunchuck in case your wife or friends and relatives want to play.

If you want a party game, I would suggest Warioware smooth moves. It's old but fun. Otherwise go with Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It got game of the month with the magazine GameInformer. I found myself playing it over and over again.

a nunchuck or in the sense of games you should get game party its kind of like wii sports but it has more and different games its really fun ^_^ good luck

i'd definetly suggest mario and sonic olympics it has a range of games and is fun to play together , wii play , an extension on the wii sports game is brilliant there are lots of minigames and is very addictive , but from personal experience stay clear form games like Mario party and games of a similar theme they bore you easily and hardly ever get played , oh and consider mario kart looks amazing i must get it myself if my parents ever give me pocket moneyy !!!! hope this helps !

You would want to get atleast another set of remote and nunchuk or maybe 2 sets! Great for multiplayer!
