is it true ?
that to get best answers here you have to lie and not tell the truth? To tell those immorral ones what they want to her rather than the truth.

My "Best" percentage seems to be hovering around 20%, and I almost always tell the truth. When I do not, it is either to be humorous or tongue in cheek and it is obvious. I do not care what it is you may WANT to hear, if I disagree, then I will gladly let you know. If your question shows respect, I will show you the same, but if it does not or you seem to be "holier than thou" or seem to be denigrating I am likely to lambast you, even if I have to put it between the lines. If you ask something in a humorous vein (or should I say "vain," pun intended) then I will likely respond in kind, but I have been known to take a silly question and ultimately answer it in a serious manner and still get best, chosen by asker. One I managed to be humorous and serious at the same time and still got best, but I suspect the serious aspect went over nearly everyone's heads.
Of course I can point to a couple of times where my carefully considered, referenced and constructed several paragraph answer disagreeing with the questioner lost to something very close to "I believe in the bible(sic) also." And one time I actually lost to a two-word answer.

Well, I strive to be honest in all my answers. However, I do think, that MANY IDs, on here ask "questions" simply to have what they claim in their "questions" spit back to them.
I am a Christian, one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Often I will see someone post a "question", claiming to be genuine in their search for information, then ask something like, Jehovah's Witnesses are stupid, then, surprise, surprise, pick as BA, someone that says, Yes they are.
However, there have been times when I was surprised. I have given answers that seemed to not be what the asker wanted, and still gotten BA, because as it turns out they Really did want an honest, and informed, response.

Speaking for "the lost" and "the immoral", I think you'll get more points if you don't judge and insult people by calling them "lost" and "immoral" because they don't share your particular religious views.
To those who somehow believe that morality comes only from a strict adherence to Christian doctrine: do you then consider the Dalai Lama, all Buddhist monks, and Mahatma Gandhi to be immoral? If not, why not?

if people didn't want to hear the truth then why did they post thier question?

There is probably a measure of truth in the idea that if you can sense what type of answer a questioner is looking for and if you tailor your answer to make them feel better about what they already believe then you can increase the odds that they will choose your answer as a best answer.
But as a Christian I have to proclaim God's truth as found in the Bible because I have to "answer" to Him. So if I what I post gets picked as "best answer" by the person asking the question, all good and well, but I'm not going to compromise on what God says to try and please a person or to make myself look better in the best answer category.
