Have you ever wanted to get your hair cornrowed?!?

I got my hair cornrowed when I was on vacation in St Thomas. It looked awful (blond hair) and felt horrid. Every little teeny strand of hair is pulled almost to breaking point. It hurts. It itches. And I had to sleep in a chair the first night because laying on those rows was horrid. I had it taken out the next day.

To tell you the truth I did it twice, and I'm white, with light brown hair, like a caramel color. Well the first time I was really young and only did like half my hair, while I was on vacation in the Caribbean. It was awesome looking. The second time I was a freshman in high school and went to Mexico, and everyone that I saw had it done, especially the white girls so I decided to try it. Well this time I got all of my hair done, and it looked awesome to me and everyone I was with, but when I got back everyone at my school thought I was trying to be ghetto and they all started making fun of me for it. Well all the black people loved it, and thought it was awesome, but all the white people thought I was trying to act black and be ghetto. Even though I had just got back from vacation and I just wanted to show everyone what I did.

and only a hand full of white people can pull them off. Usually if you have a tomboy personality they can suit you. I know a couple girls who are boxers and they have cornrows and look fine :P

when i was like 9 i got cornrows. it hurt pretty badly when they braided them because they did it so tight. but it is worth it. but if u get them i would suggest not to get ur whole head because that just looks kinda wierd on a white girl. not to be mean. i would suggest that u get them to be about 3 to 4 inches in the center of ur head. like this.

I have cornrows

I've had them several times. I put them in my children's hair and even my son's hair. It really just depends on how you look and feel in them. If you want to try them out, do it. You can always take them down if you don't like how they look on you.

i got it done when i was in aruba. but thats only because i was there... lol. it looked pretty dumb but it was a really good job so its just me. it worked there but i wouldnt ever get it done back home cause then i'd look like and idiot.

I have wanted too, and I have gotten it done a lot of times, and so have my friends. It looks very pretty
