I am certainly an "outdoors person" and I do blog about my trips but I have my own domain for it.

You know, you're right, I should get a blog going. Right now my son and future daughter-in-law are in Australia, and we can keep tabs in between Skype conversations by reading the blog. We get to see the photos, the proposal video, the whole nine yards!
I'm going to the Kern River next weekend -- no caves in that neck of the woods that I'm aware of, sorry! -- just to relax and soak in the water. We've been going there for years, and my blog could include some of the photos I have of trips and scenery in years gone by!
