Is it wrong of me to expect the media to cover the Betancourt rescue as more than an espisode of MacGiver?

It sounds exciting to be sure, but some analysis of the broader issues involved (how is FARC funded, etc.) would benefit us all in my opinion...

    Wow, where have you been or what news channel are you watching. There was like 24 hour coverage and I learned all about FARC, how it's funded, etc...etc...etc....
