Has Tony La Russa finally gone " 'round the bend"?

This is Tony's reaction to Jim Edmonds' return to St. Louis in a Cub uniform:

Can someone please explain to me what Edmonds did to deserve this warm a welcome from a man with whom he won a World Series? Or is it time for the white coats and butterfly nets for ol' Tony?

He really should give a warm welcome.Edmonds deserves to be respected for what he has done for La Russa and St.Louis.

I can understand Tony Larussa's reaction. Jim Edmonds was tired of answering questions about how he ended up in Chicago who's the main rivals of St. Louis. So Larussa didn't have to talk about it either. I'm pretty sure Tony Larussa knows what Jim Edmonds meant to his team, so he deserved the reception he got from the crowd. Too Tony Larussa it was just another game.

Jim Edmonds is a great center fielder and the fans miss him

La Russa is upset because of the comments he made before the game about being " happy to be in a cubs uniform" .... as if thats possible

La Russa is a well known alcoholic maybe that has something to do with it. I also think he is a hot head and has just a little envy of the Cubs in general.

Yes bust out the straight jacket and butterfly net. I think he has been skating on the wrong side of the Ice for a while now. Still likes to hit the pitcher in the 8th spot.

I think that the only good thing you can say about Tony LaRusa is that he has a winning record (fair to say he has always managing teams with great talent which has a lot to do with winning) but this time he wasn't "that" bad. But, again, he will be remembered for his winning record, not for being a nice person.
