Why do people find it necessary to play games with emotions?

you know, there are really mean people in this world... you think they make be nice, but they are all the same... there are very few genuinely nice people in this world... maybe some people are hurt by others, and so they take a vow to hurt every other person they meet... they gain the person's trust and then break it. they leave the person stranded with no where to go or no one to turn to... like on a deserted island or in a dark forest... they feel that they are taking revenge for something that once happended to them. they begin to feel satisfied with their behaviour. they just like to see the other person sad and emotionally disturbed...( these people need love and assurance in their life that they will never be hurt by the other person, no matter what. they need to feel secure. ) maybe some people are just plain mean, out to hurt every person they meet...( you should always avoid such people as they can be emotionally brutal. ) maybe some people have seen so much of bitterness and unhappiness in their childhood, that they are used to seeing peoples' emotions being played with. since they have been seeing this from their childhood, they think that it is the right kind of behaviour and so they play with peoples' emotions. it is just another thing for them. probebly, they are not even aware that they are hurting someone...( these people need to be given unconditional love and support. they need to be taught how to truly love someone with all their heart. they should be told that it is a wonderful feeling to love and that they should not be scared to give it their best shot in their relation. )

I think it starts with insecurity or a lack of self-worth on their part. They think the only way they can attract or keep someone in their lives is through emotional blackmail and manipulation. They fail to understand that honest expression of their desires and needs will bring them exactly what they want and need.

Insecurities. When we aren't sure of ourselves, we "test" others to make us feel better. Don't let it get to you. Games are common, but it doesn't mean you have to play them back.

If someone is hurting you, emotionally, step back and try to look at the situation evenly. There are a lot of good people out there who would not do this. It's good of you to notice!

at times ppl like to play with other ppl's emotions because it makes them feel good. its hard to explain but yeah.

because it makes them feel powerful and unstoppable

and they just want to feel better about themselves so they do this through hurting others

because doing that makes them feel good about themselves.

it makes them feel like a god- they have power
