What does this poem mean?

i wrote a poem as extra credit for my English class. I write what I feel and i don't know what the hell it means. what does this mean to you?

I follow the wind today.

Seas of grass engulf my way.

But now i flow in direction of my peers

For is this truly my way to fears?

I look at each blade, they are all the same.

Time and time i cannot blame.

The wind is too strong for me to oppose

But with love, i can become a rose.

I trust neither wind or blade that flows my way

For it is benevolence, my heart is not to say

For i am en entitled to a rose.

To resist the way, the wind, flows.

it means you put generic imagery together to make a generic poem to get a decent grade.

With an e e cummings poem, saying "This is what it means to me" is like trying to nail Jello to a tree. This poem has always seemed very pro-feminist, or at least anti anti-feminist. It talks about independent thinking to me. Effie (a name that sounds suspiciously like the word "iffy") apparently never thought for herself and all that's left of her crumbly brain is a bunch of subjunctives: woulda, coulda ,shoulda, musta. Even God looks on those 6 crumbs with puzzlement; even His omniscience can't fathom why a person would live her life allowing others to think for her.

In my opinion the author is writing about being a follower and not a leader feeling that peer pressure of having sex is the only way to have a partner the author would like to have the strength to stand up and be a leader and not use sex as a tool but scared to make that choice

You distrust love, yet you find that your always drawn to it.

Through time your heart withdraws itself from all the tension, the beauty and it begins to stray. You fight a uncommon battle that puts you in a place of an abyss. With this peom you are trying to make sense of it all.

To me its talking about the pressure of society, and how we are "forced" follow what is expected of us

Such as the blades all being the same, and following peers etc

The first stanza means to me that your used to be a free spirit however due to fear your under the influence of peer pressure now.

Second stanza is that you think that you can be special yet peer pressure from society is to strong you feel.

Don't trust society's peer pressure You think you are entitled to be special or at least a chance at being special however the truth is eventually we all sell out to society.some sooner so later. We all sell out or get run over.

    Good Luck

i'm not that experienced, but atleast i can tell how it makes me feel...

it tells me that you are accepting your life as it is but are still in hope or waiting for something better to come.

    i love the poem
