you need a DV cable or Firewire cable (IEE 1394) which your camcorder should have
6 pin to 4pin for desktops

4 pin to 4 pin for notebooks (Which look like this)

Your PC Desktop should have a Firewire Connection

Notebook

If you don't have those connections then you can
Install Firewire Card
Desktop (little tricky to install)

Notebook Slots easily into notebook PCMCIA port

If you have a Desktop and you don't want to open it up to install a firewire card then there is a USB option

Then you connect your camcorder to PC via Firewire cable

Here a guide with more information

the use 'Windows Moviemaker' to transfer video to PC
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/moviemake...
DV video can take up a lot of HD space, so once you've got your movie onto your PC, with Moviemaker save it as MPG2 , or WMV
otherwise it will take ages to upload RAW DV to youtube
Phew! Hope thats helpfull

1- Camera records on cassette! Download video using USB and software that came with your camera.
2- Camera records on SD card! Insert SD in your computer and copy it to your computer hard drive.

This is all good advice,
I would also like to suggest going to the manufactures website and downloading the manual, there should be some sort of instructions in there!
If you get stuck you might want to pay someone to show you how to do it?

It depends on what equipment you have, but a card reader will probably help a lot.
If you'll put up more info you'll get better answers.
