James Potter chaser or seeker? Chaser right?

ok i know that this has been asked many times and that J.K said in an interview that he was a chaser. i know that in the first movie they say he was a seeker. i would rather believe what j.k rowling says but people say that in the first book it says that james is seeker. i think they are getting the movie and book mixed up. but i'm not sure. in the FIRST BOOK does it say that james was a seeker or only that he played quiditch( sorry for the spelling). WHICH IS IT? THANKS

Shoot, I thought he was a Seeker? Let me look it up...do do...well, after finding out that James Potter was a real person in the Revolutionary War...he is indeed a Chaser, but was made to be a Seeker in the film. He'd sometimes show off to Lily by playing with a snitch, hence why people thought he was a Seeker.

It's chaser. In the first book he is a chaser. In the movie it's a seeker. I know it's confusing. I'm POSITIVE that's right!

He's a seeker. Remember the pensieve? There are several times when it is mentioned.
