The question is more out of curiousity than fear or whatnot...

The happens whenever I read a book or watch a movie in which a character that you develop some connection to, gets betrayed or hurt deeply, i guess "backstabbed" by someone they really, truly trusted and loved, and at the same time you know that the person is betraying him/her out of a "necessity."

So whenever there's a situation like that I get a physical, actual sensation shoot up my arm (now that i think about it, only my left). And it lasts as long as the character is feeling the hurt or betrayal. When its extremely painful for the character, the sensation "tingles" more and sometimes moves on to the "pit of my stomach."

I'm just wondering, does anyone else ever feel something like this too?

whats it called when two guys challenge each other to a duel and stand back to back (each with a gun) take five steps in the opposite direction, on 5 steps turn and shoot? is there even a specific name? is it russian roulette?

Okay, so i've ben pretty good at understanding this dreadful European textbook for my paper but now i'm kinda stumped. I have to explain how Newton contributed to blah blah blah...for one of my thirty-some page report. I can't really wrap my head around this quote:

"Newton had found that 'the force of gravity towards the whole planet did arise from and was compounded of the forces of gravity toward all its parts, and towards every one part was in the inverse proportion of the squares of the distances from the part.' "

I can't for the life of me remember the name of this website. I don't even know if its around anymore...It had like a green background (?) and all the shows they had were listed on the right side of the home page. Videos were free and as far as i know you didn't have to be a member. I know pretty dorky...but i really wanna finish the inuyasha series. The Thought That Counts

In the story, “The Gift of the Magi,” by O. Henry, Della learns that the greatest gifts are not the ones that are costly, but ones that come from the heart. The dilemma that she faces is clearly noticed in this line, “Tomorrow would be Christmas Day, and she only had $1.87 with which to buy Jim a present,” (524). Obviously, Della feels as though she is incapable of getting Jim a satisfactory gift since she does not have a lot of money. By the end of the story, Della learns that it is the thought that counts, not the cost. Della’s fears are put to rest in this line, “‘Dell,’ he said, ‘let’s put our Christmas presents away and keep ‘em a while’” (530). Jim does not get angry over the fact that both of their gifts are now useless because he realizes that the price does not matter. The author therefore sends the message that the best gifts are the ones that come form the heart. In the end, Della learns that what makes a gift great is how much thought is put into it, not how

beautiful or expensive the gift is.

I've been watching the news on the fires going on in and around Brea and Yorba Linda. So i left the room and when i walked back in all i heard was something like "...water may not be safe to drink. You should boil the water even if it's from the tap" I tried looking online for more info but i can't find anything. Just wanted to know if it's for all homes or just those close to the fires and maybe i heard wrong and they were just squeezing in other news or just assuming about the water. If it helps i heard it on Channel 9 kcal. The funny thing is i was just about to make a cup of noodle soup right now...Thanks!

ok i know that this has been asked many times and that J.K said in an interview that he was a chaser. i know that in the first movie they say he was a seeker. i would rather believe what j.k rowling says but people say that in the first book it says that james is seeker. i think they are getting the movie and book mixed up. but i'm not sure. in the FIRST BOOK does it say that james was a seeker or only that he played quiditch( sorry for the spelling). Ok......i have a thought....are harry and ginny related? this is quite a sickening thought but i think they are possibly 5th cousins or something. i mean i know sirius mentioned it in the 5th book when harry realised malfoy was related to him in a way. and that molly and authur are related. but i don't want to be mean about their relationship (g/h and m/a) but its quite...unnerving.. so i was curious and i looked at the weasley and black family trees. they are very complicated, and thats why i am not sure if harry and ginny are related. i hope not. just asking to make sure...and on the same note if they are related (harry and ginny) that means that scorpius malfoy and rose weasley are related. which would ruin the fan fics people have...for some people anyway..thanks soo much for reading all of this ..lol

Well i can guess that it's paper but i mean what does it look like. And what stores sell it?
