is it normal to FEEL an emotion?

The question is more out of curiousity than fear or whatnot...

The happens whenever I read a book or watch a movie in which a character that you develop some connection to, gets betrayed or hurt deeply, i guess "backstabbed" by someone they really, truly trusted and loved, and at the same time you know that the person is betraying him/her out of a "necessity."

So whenever there's a situation like that I get a physical, actual sensation shoot up my arm (now that i think about it, only my left). And it lasts as long as the character is feeling the hurt or betrayal. When its extremely painful for the character, the sensation "tingles" more and sometimes moves on to the "pit of my stomach."

I'm just wondering, does anyone else ever feel something like this too?

Yeah, I'm sure tons of people are like that. When I read, and I see a character I truly enjoy, I feel every single bit for them. Like that backstabbed feeling. I feel angry, pissed off. When they are depressed so am I. When one of them dies, I cry, I ball like a little girl. When I see some badassery going on, I get the tingles. Specifically in my face.
