If I have a router, is using Windows Firewall secure enough?

I had been using Comodo Firewall Pro but it was impossible to get it configured to allow my network to function. So I deleted it and just turned on Windows Firewall. Is it secure enough if I am running everything through the router anyway?

I personally (When I used a PC) used to use an extra piece of firewall software aswell. If your looking for some great ant-virus/firewall software, check out the home version of Avast!

Most routers have a good firewall to begin with so you should be OK. You still need a good Anti Virus and Anti Spyware program however.

I definitely have used Norton information superhighway protection for yrs. with staggering outcomes. I basically put in NIS 2009 and that's swifter than previous variations and all scans are in decrease back floor, no extra scheduling or operating scans till you pick too. I also use the Norton hearth wall and Microsoft homestead windows Defender collectively. you should under no circumstances have 2 virus application courses put in and dealing at similar time or you've a conflict situation between them. Avast received't preserve you from pop ups, trojans, malware. convinced in case you got and registered Norton you could reinstall and use it.
