Do you think crime has become an industry in the U.S.?

Many jobs now are dependent on crime. The Corrections union is one the largest in the country. Most criminals are in prison for drugs. Now your a criminal for using a cell phone while driving. Make the speed limit 55 so we can have more criminals. We have so many laws no wonder the prisons are overflowing. I think prisons should be for violent criminals and child molesters. The other criminals can be monitored and can work and pay restitution. What do you think?

I see nothing wrong with having industries based on locking people up. People should choose to keep the law.

Better yet, people should stay within ethical boundaries, so that laws like a 55 speed limit are not written so as to put people in jail.

Too many people today are going out and operating at the limits of the law, claiming every right they can rather than trying to get along with the guy next to them.
