Tried unplugging the cord and resetting. The vent opens and closes continuously.
2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoWhy won't my computers play the Beatles CD's music?
The only thing that plays on the computer is the video documentary. All of the music tracks play on my car stereo but not on my computer. Why? I want to download the songs to my computer so I can download them to my MP3 player. I just bought them from Best Buy. If I can't play them on my computer I think I will return them to the store.
3 AnswersMusic & Music Players1 decade agoWould cronyism be more pervasive under capitalism or socialism?
I think there would be more cronyism under socialism because people have to compete more for position under capitalism.
7 AnswersEconomics1 decade agoWas the securitization of subprime loans the greatest scam in history?
If not what was the greatest scam?
1 AnswerCredit1 decade agoWould the investment banks have bought sub prime loans if they were not able to have them sold them rated AAA?
It appears to me that the AAA rating assigned to bonds, made up of sub prime mortgage securities, made the sub prime loans feasible. After all if the investment bankers could not sell the sub prime mortgage bonds why would they buy the sub prime loans in the first place? The investment bankers probably knew they could get the credit rating agencies into assigning the AAA rating. Then investors would be confident they were buying a safe conservative investment that was rated AAA from the investment bank.
It appears that the AAA bond rating is the linchpin in whole sub prime structure.

2 AnswersInvesting1 decade agoHow prevalent is psychopathy in corporate management?
With all the corporate fraud - I wonder. Corporations seem to be well suited for someone who only cares getting ahead without regard to ethics.
2 AnswersPsychology1 decade agoAny suggestions on how to handle my son over the holidays who is a born again Christian and I am an agnostic?
I don't want my son to go back to his abusive lifestyle before he was saved by Jesus. But just about the whole time he visits me he reads the bible to me. He is afraid I am going to hell if I am not born again. I tell him to believe what makes sense to him and accept others people's believes as they make sense to them. My son has a very hard time accepting other peoples beliefs. I don't want to derail him because I don't want him to go back to his abusive lifestyle.
10 AnswersWeddings1 decade agoIs the risk of losing government jobs the reason we are not winning the war on illegal drugs?
I have talked correction officers and they tell me there are plenty of illegal drugs in prisons. It seems there are so many government jobs that depend on crime they are not really serious about minimizing or eliminating illegal drug crime. They would be out of a job.
I guess we are all part of a predatory world.
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoWhy wasn't McCain and Obama asked about the finacial bailout?
Was that topic to hot to handle? They don't want to touch that issue? Do you think the banks should be bailed out with taxpayers money?
11 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhy does the rise in the dollar lower the price of oil?
What is the relationship between a barrel oil and the dollar?
1 AnswerEconomics1 decade agoShould there be any other qualifications for parenthood other than fertility?
Isn't being a parent the most responsible position a person can have? If it is the most responsible position it seems at least a prospective parent should have a certain level of education.
5 AnswersSociology1 decade agoIs our economy dependent on war and crime?
It seems to employee many people.
3 AnswersEconomics1 decade agoShould a person who moves to another country try to blend in?
What I mean by blend is: wear the same type of clothing and learn how to speak the language.
That is what I would do if I moved to another country. Many here don't seem to want to blend.

6 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoDo you believe a super volcano eruption will happen again while humans are still on earth?
If so why should we ban certain types of oil drilling until alternative energy replaces the combustion engine?
Nature is much much more powerful than anything humans can do. Such as continental drift, earthquakes, tidal waves, volcanoes, asteroids. I am all for alternative energy mainly for our own energy independence. I don't think our economy should be ruined by a lack of affordable energy.
3 AnswersOther - Environment1 decade agoWhy is my computer not scrolling smoothly like it was before I updated my windows?
When I use the wheel on my mouse or drag the elevator up or down the scroll motion is jerky and not smooth like before. What can I do to correct it?
The screen format has changed to a much larger size. Maybe if I could change the size the format I could correct the problem.
1 AnswerAdd-ons1 decade agoDo you think crime has become an industry in the U.S.?
Many jobs now are dependent on crime. The Corrections union is one the largest in the country. Most criminals are in prison for drugs. Now your a criminal for using a cell phone while driving. Make the speed limit 55 so we can have more criminals. We have so many laws no wonder the prisons are overflowing. I think prisons should be for violent criminals and child molesters. The other criminals can be monitored and can work and pay restitution. What do you think?
1 AnswerLaw & Ethics1 decade agoHow is the global economy going to prosper when energy prices are too expensive to travel?
It looks like we humans are headed for a great depression. What are your thoughts on lifestyle changes that have to change because our lifestyle was largely based energy consumption. And now energy is too expensive. Maybe will go back to playing marbles and horseshoes.
1 AnswerEconomics1 decade agoIs baseball an elitist sport?
I don't see kids playing sandlot baseball anymore. The kids who play are either little leaguers who need parents to take them and pick them up or they belong to an expensive travel club team. It does not seem to be the American pastime anymore. The college world series did not get hardly any press. Not anything compared to football or basketball.
Why do you think that is?
I think it could be a break down of the family and more entertainment options like video games and skatboarding which don't require any supervision.
