Sounds like you need prescription strength medicine, like Prednisone - so you would need to go to the doctor. Don't know what it could be - some kind of allergy - new laundry detergent?

It may be due to stress. There is a condition that has not been diagnosed yet, but you tend to feel itchy in a lot of places on your body. It's when you just get yourself worked up about something. I can't really explain it, but my mom gets it sometimes & my sister did once too. Take an oatmeal & baking soda bath. And then go out and do something, so that you can focus on something other than the itch. I apologize if this is not the correct answer for what you have, but at least you learned something new =]

hmm. Have a shower for a start lol, then just try basic Vitamin E or even just Vaseline body lotion, other than that I'm not sure, maybe even visit your pharmacy and get some aqueous cream that is a favourite for irritated skin.
But if you've tried all them other options i'm really not sure other than them suggestions, but definitely try the aqueous if you haven't already, or simply ask your pharmacist, know basically the same, if not more a doctor does when it comes to things like this.

It could be a allergic reaction. You can try taking a cold shower to cool your body off. I think the heat makes it more itchy.

i've had that before. i think it was an allergic reaction or the hives or something. try bathing and wearing loose clothing for a little while. and right after bathing put on some caladryl clear, which they will probably have around cvs or something. if it lasts any longer for than a couple of days to a week, go see a doctor.

it could be skin rash. But usually the cause of itchiness is when you bath or shower, water must not be too hot and using too much soap cause dry skin, which cause itchiness. When your body is too hot, which is this season can also cause itchiness, stress also plays the role.

It could be hives. If something start swelling (like your hands) then it is most likely hives. I get itchy bumps, no swelling and those are hives for me. It means your are allergic to something. So far my doc says he will never figure out what I am allergic to. Take some Benadryl and all should be good.

Usually an all over rash like that is something you took, like an antibiotic or a food or something else ingested if it is indeed an allergy. Otherwise it could be a stress rash or could be another type of viral illness other than chicken pox. Because you could be contagious if it is viral, I would see the Dr. for a final diagnosis.

Could be your water is hard. When you see crusty build up on your faucets that is hard water deposits. Which also over time drys the skin out. A moisturizer soap is your quickest and cheapest solution. A soft water filter system would cost 1000 of dollars.
