Tennesse Statute of Limitations on traffic violations?

My son had a accident in tn. 4 yrs ago. he was charged with leaving scene, no drivers license and no insurance. I paid his bail. he did no show for court. Could not take off work and drive 700 miles or lose job. He was living in S. Carolina at the time. Now he is living and working in arkansas and has tried to get licenses there but was denied because of this situation in Tn.

I want to know if there is a statute of limitations that would apply for this and how long?

He has since been stopped but was not driving. both were checked for warrants and none were found for him so he was let go.

Your son needs to pay the ticket! What kind of example are you setting for him by encouraging him to just let it go?!! The job that he had at the time in SC was not THE only job in America; he could've been hired by another employer. Leaving the scene of an accident is a fairly serious charge; he's pretty fortunate that he's not been picked up yet. That being stated, he NEEDS to take care of this; it is his civil and moral obligation. You will not be doing him any favors by continuing to think it's OK or encouraging him to simply forget about it.

Really! Bet you are real proud of him.

I don't think the statute of limitations applies to traffic citations. He needs to get things right in TN first. It will continue to show at the DMV and any and all insurance companys.

He's an adult right.? He should not need mom to bail him out of any situation he created.

to precisely what are you referring? Did a police officer see you dedicate a site visitors infraction, then write you a value tag a week later? Or do you have a FTA warrant for a site visitors offense and you're hoping the warrant will pass away?
