Is it possible to get a new Prius below MSRP?

With the incredible demand for Prius, I wonder if the dealers will just laugh at me if I try to negotiate. Should I just pay MSRP?

MSRP is the price of a Prius. You can try to negotiate, but you may just piss off the salesman, and lose a car. There are so many people right behind you looking to pay MSRP, he may not waste his time.

If you want the car, pay MSRP.

+1 to scott...you WILL pay over sticker. If you say no, the salesman will ask the next customer in line....IMO, its not worth it. crunch the numbers, new prius vs say a corolla with $4 gas...which is actually a better value money wise, which will actually cost you more per month. That should tell you which one to buy.

***only douche-bags who have no idea about how the car market works would give us all the thumbs down. I dont care who you are,,,,you are going to pay over msrp on a hybrid....***

    IF you can get MSRP.

I went in a couple weekends ago to go get the Prius. They did have them avaliable, but they wanted 27k for the base prius, which is wayyy above MSRP.

The Toyota Camry Hybrid is also the same way, and Also the Honda Civic Hybrid.

Nope, High demand, limited supply means a price probably higher than the MSRP. on the other hand if your wanna buy an SUV..........

    nope

it will cost you more than the MSRP

even then you'll be on a waiting list 6 months to a year.

    get a Honda Fit instead.

I'd say you'll be lucky if you *only* pay MSRP.
