Do you think two 5 minutes Piano Solo pieces are too long?

I am performing Piano Solo for the Centennial Party of our town. And I was wondering if people would get bored if I play two songs which are about 5 minutes long each (10 minutes total).

The songs are;

1. Root Beer Rag by Billy Joel

2. Seven Wicked Reels by Barrage

They both are very up-tempo.

    These songs should not be too bad. Both of your selections are lively and easy to listen to. Guage your audience, if it is outside and everyone is hot and tired, a 2 minute song might be too long.

    Yes, 10 minutes filled with only two songs tends to get a little long. The songs might repeat some so you could cut it and piece them together. Also you could find more songs that last shorter!

    Good Luck!

    Not at all! I compose my own piano music, and 5 minute-long songs come naturally to me. As long as you keep it sounding interesting, you know, perhaps adding in your own little twists to the song, you should be fine.

    Good luck with your solos!

    10 mins isn't too long for one person to play. But 5 min songs are a little long.
